As an organization, we believe in our mission and expect all team members to model MCDC's culture, values, and best practices through "Exemplifying Excellence."Knowledge, Skills, Abilities--- Strong interpersonal and oral-communication skills.--- Have a desire to learn and grow professionally.--- Ability to work with interruptions and to manage multiple priorities.--- Ability to meet deadlines.--- Ability to work unsupervised.--- Computer skills i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet.--- Ability to operate office equipment i.e. Calculator, fax, copier, scanner, credit card terminal, multiple phone lines.--- Ability to always maintain a professional demeanor.--- Strong problem solving and presentation skills.--- Leadership skills i.e. professionalism, discretion, integrity, honesty, and dedication.Responsibilities:Typical Duties and Responsibilities--- Greet patients and visitors professionally in-person and over telephone.--- Coordinate effective scheduling and confirmation of appointments.--- Assist in the coordination of incoming and outgoing patient referrals.--- Ensure patient chart accuracy and the collection of required documentation and consents.--- Verify patient insurance and eligibility, and collect payments as required.--- Notify providers of patient arrivals and assist in presenting pertinent patient information.--- Assist patients with the check-in and check-out process.--- Confirm all future appointments and assist in scheduling follow-up treatment.--- Promote patient satisfaction.--- Maintain financial records and perform daily and weekly deposits.--- Ensure compliance with MCDC policies, as well as State, Federal, and other regulatory agencies.--- All other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Job Specification--- High school graduate or equivalent.--- Dental or customer service experience preferred.Patient Services Representative June 2023
