will become available throughout 2022! These roles will primarily
be located in Midland (MI, USA), Houston (TX, USA), or Shanghai
(China) with remote work flexibility (hybrid work schedules)
typically available.

The Data Engineer is responsible for using conceptual and practical
knowledge in data platforms and associated technologies to enable
business objectives and accelerate Dow's digital transformation.
The Data Engineer will work with a cross-functional team whose
objective is to deliver analytics solutions to help drive business
value at Dow. The data engineer will focus on ingestion /
persistence / curation of data defined by specific projects. They
work closely with the Solution Architect and Data Scientist to help
create data pipelines. Partners with Data Scientist while
overseeing the project specific data activities.
The Data Engineer will work with a multi-disciplinary IT team
(analysts/designers/developers/support) to:
Create various data pipelines for analytics projects in Azure
environment.
Help data scientist to curate and ingest data from various
platforms and help them drive end to end data flow for various
Analytical solutions.
Identify opportunities for innovating with digital capabilities
aiming to accelerate Dow's digital transformation.

Job Responsibilities / Duties:
Own the development and deployment of solutions enabling data
ingestion, storage, and consumption across Dow's enterprise data
platforms (SAP and Azure based).
Develop and deploy data pipelines using Azure data services.
Deployment of Azure services using Infrastructure as Code and Azure
DevOps.
Experience with different data models, data ingestion, data
extraction, data manipulation and data visualization
techniques.
Assist the Sr Data Engineer and Sr Solution Manager in the
evaluation of the tools and system integrations that will provide
access and communication of appropriate lifecycle information.
Works closely with Senior Solution Managers, Sr Data Engineers, and
Value Delivery Managers to design, develop, test, and implement
analytic data solutions.
Other Critical Skills:
Ability to thrive in challenging situations and solve complex
problems.
Manage own work effort in multiple projects with little
supervision.
Innate and insatiable curiosity about emerging technologies, with
the ability to quickly learn and exploit cutting edge offerings to
achieve business objectives.
Strong bias for action, and see yourself as an 'initiator' and
'problem solver'
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or a minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
or relevant military experience at a U.S. E6 rank or Canadian Petty
Officer 2nd Class or higher.
A minimum of 2 years of relevant data platform experience
(structured/non-structured database, data ingestion, data
modeling).
For U.S. Applicants: A minimum requirement for this U.S. based
position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No

for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Preferred Qualifications:
A degree discipline in Computer Science, Information Systems,
Engineering, or other technical related field.
Experience with Azure data services and Python (other programming
language).
Experience developing in the Azure environment.
Multi-application and cross-platform design experience.
