Job Description:

Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Savings Plan Manager located in Midland, Michigan . The Savings Plan Manager will enable a best in class employee experience through exceptional subject matter expertise, consultation and service delivery for the US Defined Contribution/401(k) and Elective Deferral Plans.This includes the management, implementation, and delivery of innovative solutions specific to their discipline(s) of accountability. This role is an escalation point to provide specialist expertise to triage and resolve cases within the tiered service delivery. Leads projects or project steps within a broader project, and has accountability for on-going activities within the discipline. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. This role supports all businesses and functions and aligns to the North America Benefits Team within Human Resources. Job Responsibilities / Duties: - Implements and delivers end-to-end solutions in assigned discipline(s) to deliver a best in class employee experience. - Leads projects or tracks within a broader function or enterprise-wide project, and has accountability for on-going activities within the discipline. - Leads program development related to their area(s) of expertise to improve the employee experience, balanced with function-specific needs and drivers. - Engages with third party providers to establish, develop and review the suite of services in assigned discipline(s). - Addresses escalated HR inquiries and reviewer/approver of transactions, as applicable, and acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. - Provides information and insights to Team Leaders to continuously improve Knowledge Base and Case Management content for their assigned discipline(s). Accountabilities: - Serve as Plan Fiduciary on US Defined Contribution Plan (Employee Savings Plan (ESP)) andElective Deferral Plan (EDP). - Vendor management. - Resolve complex plan, legal or participant benefit issues. - Provide consulting to leadership and participants on savings program policies and process interpretations. - Ensure compliance and governance for these U.S. plans. - Provide plan design and implementation strategies. - Render opinions on benefit claims and appeals. - Provide technical expertise on issues associated with mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. - Provide expertise and support to internal/external auditors; and developing content for communications to plan participants, including those communications required by government agencies. - Address escalated HR inquiries, claims, appeals, and review and/or approve transaction activities, as applicable. - Provide information and insights to Leadership to continuously improve Knowledge Base and Case Management content. Skills Needed: - Financial and business acumen. - Solid analytical skills to develop and interpret alternative solutions and convey best alternatives to a wide variety of stakeholders. - Strong problem solving skills. - Ability to make effective decisions after careful consideration of courses of action and impact on various employee/retiree groups and the company. - Excellent interpersonal effectiveness and communication skills so able to discuss complex issues with a broad spectrum of audiences. - Solid presentation skills, which can be utilized in engagements with large populations, leaders, etc. - Strong partnership skills, as the role works very closely with various functions, businesses, and providers. Required Qualifications: - A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business, or other relevant discipline. - A minimum of 3 years of related work experience in Retirement Plan Management, Human Resources, Finance, or relevant area of discipline. - Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (both written and spoken). - A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with WorkDay, SAP, or other HRIS systems is preferred. - At least 2 years of plan management experience is preferred. - Able to use appropriate judgment in escalation or when to involve other resources in decision making or processing. - Experience with Excel is an asset. - U.S. Defined Contribution/401(k) experience. - Non-qualified plan experience. - Previous experience with ERISA based plans. Domestic relocation assistance may be available for this role.
