(30%)* Provides direct resident care, including medication
administration, treatments, call lights, assisting transfers,
responding to alarms, etc.
(20%)* Evaluates effectiveness of treatment plan and makes
suggestions or participates in updating/revising the treatment plan
in collaboration with other team members, utilizing current
information to improve patient care.
(10%)* Processes physician/provider orders and performs
physician ordered care accurately, completely, and in a timely

and care for these tubes according to policy and procedure.
Inserts canor tubes, nosgastric tubes, and feeding tubes per
physician order, following proper procedure.
Inserts and provides care for IVs.
Provides routine care and instruction of suprapubic (SP)
catheters and surgical drains following physician order.
Provides proper care for drains and removal of same.
Removes sutures and skin clips, provides routine ostomy care and
irrigates and packs wounds, following physician order, procedure
and care plan.
Does accruate Central Venous Pressure (CVP) reading.
Obtains doppler pulses following proper procedure.
Provides routine care of gastrostomy/jejunostomy tubes according
to procedure and physician orders.
Assists in heparin therapy protocol per procedures.
Applies basic traction, splints, braces, and continuous passive
motion (CPM) machines following procedure and physician order.
Cuts and trims casts, removes wound drains.
Maintains total hip and total knee precaution measures and

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND SKILLS:
* Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
* State of Michigan RN License required. (New Graduate RNs will
