Shift: Weekends only (Friday - Sunday) Hours per Shift: 12 hours
(7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) Experience: Minimum 1 year in Cath Lab
preferred, Interventional Radiology preferred, Electrophysiology
preferred, Travel work experience preferred License: Must have
active Michigan RN license Certifications: - BLS (AHA) - ACLS (AHA)
Must-Have: - Cath Lab RN experience required - Cardiac Rhythm
Interpretation knowledge preferred - Knowledge of operation of
intraaortic balloon pump preferred - Epic EMR experience preferred
Description: This position cares for patients before, during, and
after angiography, interventional, and cardiac catheterization
procedures. Responsibilities include pre-procedure assessment and
pre-medication. Documentation of the catheterization process and
post-catheterization care is essential. Patient education is a key
component of this role. The nurse will scrub in for procedures and
assist other members of the team. Provides nursing care for
catheterization and angiography cardiovascular patients. Conducts
other cardiac diagnostic nursing procedures according to department
protocols. Assists with stress echocardiograms, routine treadmill
exams, nuclear and pharmacologic stress testing, tilt table tests,
echocardiograms, cardioversions, and transesophageal
echocardiograms. Evaluates and screens patients for safety prior to
performing tests. Provides sedation monitoring in accordance with
hospital policy and documents appropriately. Inserts PICC lines and
functions as a vascular access expert. Operates equipment and
manages supplies related to cardiac care. Records all pertinent
information on data sheets. Develops, reviews, and enhances
cardiovascular education materials and programs. Requirements
