VeeAR Health is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Midland, Michigan. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Shift Notes: Nights: 12 Hrs: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Weekend Requirements: Every Other Weekend On Call Requirements: No Call Job Description: The registered nurse will perform direct patient/resident care and delegation to patient care technicians in providing care and comfort to the residents. Knowledge and compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines relating to facility care will be maintained. This position has basic medical/surgical knowledge to care for general surgical and orthopedic surgical patients. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (30%)* Regularly assesses patient's/client's needs and provides skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician-authorized plan of care, and accepted standards of nursing practice. (30%)* Provides direct resident care, including medication administration, treatments, call lights, assisting with transfers, responding to alarms, etc. (20%)* Evaluates the effectiveness of the treatment plan and makes suggestions or participates in updating/revising the treatment plan in collaboration with other team members, utilizing current information to improve patient care. (10%)* Processes physician/provider orders and performs physician-ordered care accurately, completely, and in a timely manner. (10%)* Follows up regarding medication changes and order clarifications. Requirements 2 years of Med Surg Experience - Required BLS (AHA) - Required Travel Experience - Highly Preferred Epic Experience - Preferred Certification Requirements BLS (AHA) State License Requirements Michigan VeeAR Health Job ID 63561.
