Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Variable Day Shifts Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of RN Experience, Pre/Post Op Experience, PACU Experience License: Active State License Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA) Must-Have: Skills Checklist current to 1 year pertinent to the specialty (PACU), 2 Supervisory Reference Forms Completed within the last two years Description: This position requires basic knowledge of operative procedures to assess and implement care for ambulatory surgery patients. Regularly assesses patient needs and provides skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician authorized plan of care and accepted standards of nursing practice. Provides direct patient care, including medication administration, treatments, assisting with transfers, and responding to alarms. Evaluates the effectiveness of treatment plans and collaborates with team members to improve patient care. Processes physician orders and performs the ordered care accurately and in a timely manner.
