Ann Arbor (48109) is a vibrant college-town area with great dining, arts and culture, and easy access to parks and outdoor spaces./n /n/nJob Details (Travel RN – Michigan Healthcare Job)/n /n - Location: Ann Arbor, MI 48109 (Michigan nursing job)/n - Start Date: 03/16/2026/n - End Date: 06/15/2026/n - Duration: 13 weeks/n - Employment Type: Travel RN (On-Site)/n - Schedule: Days/n - Shift Times: 07:00–17:30 or 07:00–15:30 (varies by schedule/department needs)/n - Hours per Week: Typically 4x10s (40 hrs/week); may vary based on department needs (e.g., 36 hrs/week as a mix of 2x10s and 2x8s)/n - Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,870–$3,020/n - Patient Population: Adults (heart failure / VAD / LVAD; unit detail: destination therapy mostly)/n /n/nJob Requirements (RN – CVICU / VAD Coordinator)/n /n - Experience: 3 years of Registered Nurse (RN) experience required (may screen candidates with 2 years); VAD/LVAD, CVICU, advanced cardiac, cardiothoracic, or heart failure experience strongly preferred/n - License: Active Michigan RN license in hand at time of submission (non-compact)/n - Certifications: BLS required; VAD-C preferred/n - Charting: Epic experience required/n - Skills: Strong clinical triage, independent judgment, and comfort managing urgent issues via phone/telehealth and patient portal messaging/n - References: Two manager/supervisor references required/n /n/nResponsibilities (VAD/LVAD Nursing, Telehealth Triage, Patient Education)/n /n - Serve as an expert resource for VAD/LVAD equipment, alarms, and troubleshooting across clinic and procedural areas/n - Provide comprehensive patient and caregiver education and staff training on VAD devices, emergency response, and safety protocols/n - Triage and manage routine and urgent patient needs via telehealth, emergency phone line, and patient portal messaging/n - Support clinic visits for destination therapy and LVAD/VAD patients/n - Perform device downloads, assess equipment integrity, and coordinate escalation to device manufacturers as needed/n - Support emergency patient management over the phone and guide appropriate next steps for evaluation and care/n - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, timely, and patient-centered VAD care/n - Work primarily outpatient (approximately 80%) with periodic support in OR/procedural settings/n /n/n Apply now to join a healthcare team in Ann Arbor, MI and make an impact in heart failure and LVAD/VAD patient care.
