Job Description:
Dow is seeking innovative and driven individuals who are
interested in being considered for Information Technology Analyst
positions that will become available throughout 2022! These roles
will primarily be located in Midland, MI or Houston, TX with remote
work flexibility (hybrid work schedules) typically available.

Dow's Digital Transformation is upon us, and Information Systems
(I/S) is front and center in setting a new standard for how
Material Science value chains operate and serve customers through
solving business challenges by enabling growth through digital
capabilities.
The Information Technology Analyst is responsible for designing,
developing, and supporting solutions and processes to meet business
needs and requirements. The analyst works in a business process,
enabling, or implementation team, and applies general knowledge of
Information Systems, which is typically developed through formal
education. Information Technology Analysts work directly with
senior employees on a diverse range of innovative high-value
projects with the opportunity to grow their careers within Dow
I/S.
Job Responsibilities / Duties:
Gathers and analyzes business input for assigned functional and
technical areas in order to explore, analyze, and map business and
function requirements.
Works closely with business process teams, technical teams and
other stakeholders to design and build objects which meet
requirements.
Documents detailed designs.
Helps ensure that functional and technical designs meet business
requirements, conform to Dow architecture standards, and optimize
productivity and long-term product/system vision.
Builds, tests and implements application objects.
Assists with issue resolution.
Fosters a work environment with a high level of integrity and
strong safety focus that embraces diversity and inclusion,
innovation and sustainability, and continuous improvement and
empowerment.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or a minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
or relevant military experience at a U.S. E6 rank or Canadian Petty
Officer 2nd Class or higher.
A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability
to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support
is available for this position, including for any type of U.S.
permanent residency (green card) process.
Preferred Qualifications:
A degree discipline in Computer Science, Information Systems or
other technical related field.
A minimum of 2 years of system design, implementation and
support.
A minimum of 2 years of software engineering / programming
experience.
Experience with Java, Spring Framework, modern JavaScript or
similar languages / frameworks.
Agile/Scrum knowledge is beneficial.
