The projects may include designing a drainage and sewage system, constructing a building, or developing roadways. The construction engineer will need to have a strong understanding of building codes, laws, and regulations that might affect projects.Your Responsibilities Inspects work in progress to ensure that work conforms to specifications and construction schedules are adhered toInterface daily with project team members, our clients, contractors, and other technical experts and disciplines regarding project-related items.Effectively communicate project details to the project team and clients.Provide project related guidance, coaching, and direction to staff.Manage and prepare project scope descriptions, schedules, and budgets.Your TeamAs a trusted member of OHM Advisors' Field Services Group, you will join a growing, mission-driven team of innovative thinkers who collaborate daily, using our combined gifts and talents to continually advance the communities we serve.What You Need to Succeed Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering with Construction experienceThe ability to obtain the Michigan PE license within (3) years of employmentMinimum (3) + years of combined experience in the industryMinimum (1) year in construction observation and/or management is required.MDOT / LAP construction project management experience is preferred.Other discipline experiences such as, but not limited to, water main, sanitary sewer, road,pathways, and stormwater system experience also desirable.Working knowledge of established construction practices, procedures, and techniques as well as applicable local, State, and Federal delivery requirements.Ability to read and interpret documents, such as work orders, safety rules, procedure manuals, and construction drawings/plansStrong analytical and innovative problem-solving skillsComputer skills including internet, MS Outlook, MS Excel, and MS WordGrowth at OHM AdvisorsAdvancement isn't just for our clients.
