DescriptionDuPont is seeking a Global Manufacturing Improvement Leader position for the Adhesives & Fluids, Multibase - and Tedlar - operations. This role is a standard global role that resides in Operations and reports to the Global Manufacturing Director (GMD).Position PurposeThe Global Manufacturing Improvement Leader supports the GMD through the identification, measurement, development, and leveraging of various improvement efforts across the manufacturing networks.The Global Manufacturing Improvement Leader drives standardization of best practices and performance metrics across the manufacturing network.This role serves as the primary manufacturing liaison with supply chain, product line management teams, and market facing/product development teams to enable alignment and integration of plans.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the GMDCoordinate preparation of performance metrics across the manufacturing network. Provides weekly performance reviews, and monthly operation dashboard and gap analysis of manufacturing network.Support the monthly 3M (Operations Performance Reviews) meetings for each product lineLead the special topics which are assigned by the GMD (Cost, Capacity, Improvements, Productivity, Sustainability, etc)Facilitate the process to translate business objectives into 5 year operational plansDrives standardization and support continuous improvement in performance metricsLead annual process for updates to capability (planning rates) and capacity data across the manufacturing network. Optimize and maintain the standard process of global dashboard data collection.Optimize the standard process of Opportunity Tracking Tool (OTT) to ensure the good management of LCI projects in OTT for the 5 year planning horizon and complete financial validationsLead the discussion of standard processes which are initiated by manufacturing network.Identify improvement programs that span multiple sites/across the manufacturing network. Support the network as appropriate to advance these improvement programs.Drive the best practices sharing process to improve performance metrics across the manufacturing work.Support the continuous improvement in specific plants/topics as needed.Serve as the primary manufacturing liaison with other functions.Work with Supply Chain and Finance to update the long term (5 year+) asset plans.Act as the primary representative in manufacturing for major changes to turnaround and other capacity changes.Act as the primary representative in manufacturing for operation support as needed.Act as the primary manufacturing representative in COGS outlook process with Finance to ensure changes to TAR planning, fixed costs or variable cost productivity are dialed into outlook.Competencies: Strategic Agility - Take a high level view of strategic needs and translate that into executable plans for manufacturing. Has a global perspective, operates from an awareness of DuPont capabilities and resources. Operates with a future-oriented mindset-skilled at analyzing and judging future strategic scenarios. Ability to develop an overall asset strategy to deliver superior business results.Analytical - Able to take broad data sets and develop strategic solutions to address data based issues. Actively uses KPI's and metrics as a way to make decisions and to manage performance in a transparent mannerSystems Thinker - Operates in a transparent manner and provides appropriate amount of information to help people understand the bigger picture and get work done. . Functional/Technical Competency - systems and process developer and experienced in working through with teams. Demonstrated experience in leadership.Communications - Ability to present and communicate at all levels of the organizationQualificationsA minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain or related areaManufacturing experience: 3+ year in production area manager role or other equivalent roles in manufacturingAble to travel up to 25% overseeing 4 facilitiesPossible relocation (Ohio/MI)Hybrid RoleDuPont is an equal opportunity employer.
