Working as part of the Global Product Stewardship & Regulatory team for Shelter Solutions, the Shelter Solutions Product Stewardship & Sustainability Specialist will help enable business success and meet customer needs by implementing product stewardship practices, facilitating product regulatory compliance, and supporting product sustainability initiatives.

This role will support product stewardship and sustainability efforts within the Performance Building Solutions and Corian Design business segments, and will work closely with global product stewards and the global product sustainability leader to implement Shelter's product stewardship program and support the business sustainability goals.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Understand DuPont's global Product Stewardship & Regulatory (PS&R) standards and implementation within the Shelter Solutions business
• Support product composition and raw material updates by executing PS&R data management processes and implementing data system updates
• Support hazard communication by leading Safety Data Sheet (SDS) creation/revision and supporting product label development
• Support customer inquiries on product safety and regulatory compliance
• Support Product Stewardship Risk Reviews and Product Risk Characterization for new and existing products and application, driving action items to completion
• Support implementation of product risk management strategies
• Conduct PS&R and sustainability reviews of product literature, marketing materials, and digital content, to ensure consistency with product stewardship program and technical sustainability credibility
• Support implementation and maintenance of the written business product stewardship program
• Understand green building product sustainability schemes and programs, including LEED, material health certificates, and LCA/EPD
• Guide marketing, product management, and R&D teams on product sustainability certification opportunities
• Lead product transparency / certification maintenance for defined programs
  Your Qualification Profile:
  
  • BS or MS degree in Chemistry, Toxicology, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field, with demonstrated science-driven thinking
  • Previous experience (2+ years) in product stewardship, product regulatory compliance, and/or product sustainability
  • Experience with hazard communication, e.g. Globally Harmonized System (GHS) and/or EU Classification, Labeling, and Packaging (CLP)
  • Strong prioritization skills and demonstrated ability to deliver on commitments
  • Demonstrated project management experience and ability to drive progress against project objectives and timelines
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, written and oral communications skills
  • Ability to give and receive candid feedback as part of a fearless organization
    • SAP experience a plus is preferred
    • Knowledge of the Product Safety Code of Responsible Care and product stewardship program implementation is preferred
    • Previous experience in the green building market with knowledge of LEED and product sustainability certification schemes is preferred
