Job Description:
Summary GENERAL SUMMARY: This position provides strategic
planning and strategic project management support. The Strategic
Planning Analyst supports the CSO in strategic planning and will
interface with executive leaders and various leadership teams
across the health system to assist them in developing strategic
plans for their respective areas of responsibility in alignment
with the Corporate Strategic Plan. You will also assist the
Director of Strategic Partnerships and Integration in project
management of key strategic projects and strategic partnerships. In
each of these areas scope of responsibility ranges from ownership
of a single project deliverable to discrete work streams within a
complex engagement. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (40%)*
Support strategic project management by coordinating projects,
collecting the necessary information required to start projects,
contributing to project planning, preparing and maintaining
documentation, monitoring project activities. Assisting in the
design of the overall project, development of the implementation
plan and project timeline. Provides and ensures communication with
and between different stakeholders. (30%)* Principal
responsibilities involve supporting corporate strategic planning
function, facilitating department or business units strategic
planning process as required to assist in identifying and
evaluating areas of opportunity and prioritization. (20%)*
Accountable for receiving new project requests and ensuring they
are appropriately processed. Maintaining a database for all
strategic projects completed and provide status reports for ongoing
projects. (10%)* Researching, collecting, and analyzing data for
the strategic decision-making process and projects. OTHER DUTIES
AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Periodic assistance during integration and
activities related to partnerships related to FQHCs. Work
collaboratively with service line leaders and teams providing
financial data, ensuring data accuracy, and assisting with analysis
to reach conclusions and formulate action plans. Actively
participate in strategic planning sessions. Working in
collaboration with the teams to transition projects to operational
owner. Liaise with operational teams to monitor and report out
project sustainability and success measures. Manage project aspects
such as work plan guidance to project team and monitor quality
assurance of project implementation. Train and answer questions
related to organization's project management standards and
processes. Lead initiatives and special assignments as required.

required to take a Computer Skills Assessment via the learning
management system upon hire. Based on the results of the
assessment, an employee may be required to participate in further
learning opportunities offered by MyMichigan Health. REQUIRED
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree, Healthcare Administration, Accounting
or Finance, or Bachelor's degree in another Business related field
along with 2-5 years relevant business experience. EXPERIENCE,
TRAINING AND SKILLS: Two to five years' experience in Health Care
finance or operations preferred. Experience in project management
and certification strongly preferred. Must have strong
interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with
employees from all levels within the organization. Must have the
ability to communicate ideas and concepts in a clear and
understandable manner to both individuals and groups. Must possess
strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Strong data
analytical skills required to support multiple departments
utilizing various databases. Must possess effective written and
verbal presentation skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and
deadlines. Familiarity with statistical software and decision
support systems required. Mandatory tuberculosis (TB) testing must
be done as required. Mandatory Occupational Safety and Health
Administration (OSHA) training must be completed annually according
to the Exposure Control Plan.
